Who I am

My name is Ryu Yamamoto. I'm not the greatest artist, but I do my best. I love drawing and I want to make a living off of it, but I still have a ways to go. For now, I just want to display some of my work for everyone to see.

My Journey

As a kid, I'd always wanted to do something in the sciences. My ultimate goal was to become a chemical engineer. As I was going about life as usual, I found manga. I was moved by the intricate stories and detailed art. At that point I thought "This is what I want to do. I want to make people feel like this." I picked up a pencil and a notebook and I just drew. Anything that came to mind. I started writing stories, developing characters, and building worlds. Then I realized that I had absolutely no idea how to draw properly. Since then I've aspired to improve my art, which led me to create this site to share my work.
